Background
‘My dream was always to return to South Africa after 20 years away, and be a co-creator in a rainbow democracy of wellness,’ explains Ian Macfarlane, one of the founders of Cape Town Medi-Spa and Ubuntu Wellness Centre since 2003. ‘Wellness develops human capital at the same time as encouraging the economy, and the Ubuntu philosophy is the natural bridge between Africa and the West, between the traditional healing and medical paradigms in this nation.’
His partner, Dawn Hayden, has the same dream, in which all South Africans benefit from the emerging opportunities to enjoy the "real freedom to be and radiate our inner peace and joy."
Add these two visions together and you get Ubuntu Wellness. Founded in 2007 and utilizing innovative interventions like an Ubuntu Wellness Certification process that integrates ancient and modern African thought and technologies, it aims to address South Africa’s problems with Ubuntu Wellness solutions.
What is different about the Centre is that it is actually delivering on its promises.
With a range of community, education and corporate solutions, Ubuntu Wellness is dynamic. Inspired. Passionate about wellness.
Don’t you want to be too?
